Management Team

 

Brett Mills

 

Brett has more that 20 years experience in the construction industry in, project management leadership, sales, marketing, distribution, operations management, human resources and other management roles.  Brett has run his own business for 10 years and also gained international experience spending 5 years in the United States. 

Brett has also represented New Zealand overseas in Yachting gaining the knowledge of what is required to achieve a high level of team performance.  These skills and self motivation and discipline can be transformed into the corporate workforce.

 

Elizabeth Sutherland

 

Elizabeth is self-employed and for the last 8 years has been a Management Consultant for various companies and also participating in management teams; including a Private Training Establishment, retail and manufacturing businesses. Her current company Zgroup Ltd a business mentoring company holds a government contract to deliver business mentoring.

 

Initially Elizabeth commenced a career in teaching attending Auckland Training College however then perused an extensive career in the financial sector with 23 years experience in Senior Management positions. This provided her with experience in diversified investment, human resource management, coaching and mentoring, strategic management, risk management, service delivery, sales and marketing, diversified investments, corporate lending, policy and procedure development, financial management, auditing, quality management, and disputes resolution.

 

After leaving the corporate sector Elizabeth commenced her consultancy business and also rekindled her passion for education by holding the role of Area Director for a Private Training Establishment for 8 years gaining a full understanding of the education sector and its governance requirements.

 

The establishment of three small businesses, which were sold at a profit and a property development company, has provided practical hands on experience in commercial enterprise.

 

Nikki Benfell

 

Nikki’s background as Director of Studies, Head of Department and tutor with a major Private Training Establishment has given her an extensive knowledge of the broad range of issues facing PTEs.

Nikki has a comprehensive knowledge of TEC/MOE funding application issues and processes and has worked with many providers to secure funding and maintain compliance in this area.

Quality management system design, implementation and maintenance are one of Nikki’s specialties. She also has expertise with audits, Code of Practice applications, compliance issues, tutor development, moderation and program review and design.

 

Hannah Dunlop

 

Hannah has more that 20 years experience in business assisting her husband in his construction company. Hannah commence here career in Sales and Marketing and then after brining up her family she followed a passion in education first tutoring in adult learning and then being the principal of a private training establishment for 5 years.

Hannah understands what is required to run and operate a successful business with the day to day demands and training requirements and fully understands the need for training and development of staff.

Hannah brings to Business College strong skills in education training, development and governance along with her business management skills
